Continued from Day 1
Day 2: Storms and sending
Early in the day, Dani Andrada gave a strong performance, only to fall three draws from the top of the route.
Nearby, Nina Caprez and Chloé Minoret send Infinity Lane Féminine on their first try. Then a storm hit, cooling things down for the rest of the day. Florence Pinet waited patiently for the holds to dry before setting off. In shape and climbing smoothly, she flashed it: "the route is so long that it's impossible to give it a grade. It's not extreme, but it's a good combination of route finding and determination..." A 90 meter Ultimate Route...that's long!

Day 3 - More sending...and a flash!
Tony Lamiche, Mickaël Fuselier and Steve McClure startedbright and early to take advantage of the cooler morning temps.
They all got to the final crux, but didn't make it to the summit. They then went on to check out the rest of the area.

Steve McClure on the women's Ultimate Route: "one of the most beautful routes I've been on in the last few months!"
After a day of rest and chill climbing in the Tarn, Chris Sharma showed up at the Cathédrale... Using his climbing mastery and strength, he flashed the route, as photographers and the dumbfounded spectators looked on. Proof that his is still the King...

Lynn Hill sent the women's route later in the day, after two tries and a massive, 15 meter fall:
"I've never fallen that far on a single pitch route... You really have to have a resting strategie and be patient...and climb at a different pace."
Dani Andrada also used some strategy and tried the route again at the end of the day. He fell once at the final boulder problem after a small foothold broke... Without resting he started up again and fell one move higher... Confirmation that the route is hard...

On the Arête Ouest, an Infinity Lane for everyone: 90m of 6a+
During this time, more than 320 climbers were enjoying the 60 new routes at the Cathédrale sector. On the other side of the Cirque des Vases, the Infinity Lane "for everyone else" went up the Arête Ouest (6a+) and saw ascents all day long.

Meanwhile, other athletes were hitting it hard: kayaking, paragliding mountain biking, slacklining, and and climbing: everyone was able to push it to the limit... A special thanks goes out to the Natural Games organizers (C.O.N.G) for another excellent event. A slideshow of Sam Bié's photos and a video are on the way... Stay tuned!
