Easy to use

• AUTO-LOCK system

The AUTO-LOCK system allows users to easily position themselves at a work station without having to manipulate the handle or tie off the device: as soon as the user releases the handle, the rope is automatically locked in the device.

• Installation of the rope

The device has a safety gate on the moving side plate that allows the rope to be installed easily while the device remains connected to the harness.

• Comfortable, controlled descent

The ergonomic handle allows unlocking the rope and comfortably controlling the descent. Two descent modes are possible: on the side plate or in the V-shaped friction channel. 

Versatile

Self-braking descenders are versatile and can be used for both descents and short rope ascents.

Wear resistance

The stainless steel wear plate improves durability by reinforcing the rope friction zone.

With anti-panic function and anti-error catch

Designed for work at height, rope access, and technical rescue and evacuation, these devices are equipped with an anti-panic function and an anti-error catch, limiting the risk of an accident due to user error. They are also compatible with auxiliary brakes, in order to increase the braking friction for descents with heavy loads.

I’D® S

Self-braking descender with anti-panic function for work at height and rope access work

The self-braking I’D S descender is primarily designed for work at height and rope access work. It has an ergonomic handle that allows convenient descent control. The integrated anti-panic function and anti-error catch limit the risk of an accident due to user error. The AUTO-LOCK system allows users to easily position themselves at the work station without having to manipulate the handle or tie off the device. Once locked, the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle. The safety gate allows the rope to be installed with the device remaining connected to the harness. I'D S is compatible with 10 to 11.5 mm ropes and allows handling of loads up to 250 kg.

I’D® L

Self-braking descender with anti-panic function for technical rescue

The I’D L self-braking descender is primarily designed for technical rescue. It has an ergonomic handle that allows convenient descent control. The integrated anti-panic function and anti-error catch limit the risk of an accident due to user error. The AUTO-LOCK system allows users to position themselves without having to manipulate the handle or tie off the device. Once locked, the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle. The safety gate allows the rope to be installed with the device remaining connected to the harness. I'D L is compatible with 12.5 to 13 mm ropes and allows handling of loads up to 280 kg.

I’D® EVAC

Self-braking descender with anti-panic function for lowering from an anchor

The I’D EVAC self-braking descender is primarily designed for lowering from an anchor. The ergonomic handle is specifically oriented for managing a load from the anchor and offers comfortable descent control. The integrated anti-panic function and anti-error catch limit the risk of an accident due to user error. The AUTO-LOCK system allows the rope to be automatically locked without having to manipulate the handle or tie off the device. Once locked, the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle. The safety gate allows the rope to be installed with the device remaining connected to the anchor. I'D EVAC is compatible with 10 to 11.5 mm ropes and allows handling of loads up to 250 kg.

Open auxiliary brake for I’D S, I’D L and I’D EVAC self-braking descenders

The open auxiliary brake is designed for I'D self-braking descenders. It is used to increase the friction depending on the load and the diameter of the rope, and allows the rope to be inserted or removed at any time.

Closed auxiliary brake for I'D®

Closed auxiliary brake for I’D S, I’D L and I’D EVAC self-braking descenders

The closed auxiliary brake is designed for I'D self-braking descenders. It allows the friction to be increased depending on the load and rope diameter, and provides a constant redirect of the rope.
