Petzl Recognized For REACTIVE Lighting and WIREFRAME Technology

Every winter thousands of outdoor experts descend upon Salt Lake City for the biannual Outdoor Retailer Tradeshow. At this year's OR show Petzl's technological breakthroughs in WIREFRAME technology and REACTIVE lighting impressed editor's and users alike.

The first harness to feature WIREFRAME technology the Petzl SITTA recieved Editor's Choice from the prestigious Alpinist Magazine and Climbing Magazine.

Unlike other climbing harnesses the SITTA provides support through a series of Spectra® strands embedded in the cushioning of the waist and leg loops. These strands not only provide structural integrity at a lower weight than nylon, they also distribute the load over a larger area of the harness. This makes the harness more comfortable while projectine a hard route, and more compactible for light and fast objectives.

And Petzl's newest lineup of lights that automatically adjust their output depending on ambient light was highlighted for special acknowledgement. The NAO+ featuring 750 Lumens of REACTIVE Lighting and BlueTooth technology won Best in Show from the Outdoor Retailer Association and Best in Show from Gear Junkie.

The original REACTIVE headlamp the upgraded Petzl NAO+ features a lumen boost to a max of 750 lumens in REACTIVE mode, a red blinking rear LED in the for extra visibility when running or biking, and Bluetooth for sport based customization and reporting.

Popular Mechanics awarded an Editor's Choice to the new Reactik+ headlamp.

A compact REACTIVE headlamp, the REACTIK+ provides 250 lumens of REACTIVE lighting with integrated Bluetooth, a rechargeable, replaceable, lithium-ion battery back, and red lighting to preserve the user's night vision.
