PETZL ROCTRIP 2022 — CREATIVE ONSIGHT VIDEOS

After 8 long years, in May 2022, the Petzl RocTrip made an exciting comeback in Manikia, Greece. It's rock climbing's most iconic event — and this year, we took a completely new approach. Including the addition of Creative Onsight.

Petzl athletes took on a different kind of challenge this year at the Petzl RocTrip! They teamed up with photographers and videographers to create creative and original content, all while following strict guidelines. Here's how it worked: Four teams — four Petzl athletes, one photographer, one videographer, and one special guest. Three days to shoot, two to edit. After day five, the teams delivered creative, lighthearted, and entertaining videos to share with all of you! Check out all four films from the Petzl RocTrip's first-ever Creative Onsight challenge!

Nightmayer One of Great Britain’s most distinguished climbers, Steve McClure has spent the last few decades scaling cliffs and crags all over the world. In spite of his globetrotting status, he likes nothing more than to tackle challenges on the rock walls of his home country. This is how, after sending Rainman in Malham in 2017, he became one of only a handful of people to climb 9b. In 2019, he finally settled a long overdue score by onsighting Nightmayer, a hard, complex, and committing route!
