Hee Yong Park: ice and mixed climbing on the Argentiere Glacier
A truly versatile climber, Hee Yong Park is a new member of Team Petzl. On February 6-7, 2015, he won the second to last World Cup climbing stage in Champagny-en-Vanoise (French Alps). To make the most of his time in France, he decided to sink his ice axes into "Nuit Blanche" and "Tequila Stuntman," two well-known ice and mixed routes along the Argentiere Glacier (Chamonix). Accompanied by Hannarai Song, a climber from the Korean Team, and Mathieu Maynadier, a fellow Team Petzl member, an entire crew followed them on their escapade: view the adventure in photos.

Who is Hee Yong Park?
Korean climber, Hee Yong Park, started out rock climbing. A genuine competition ice climbing legend, he is also a versatile climber that likes long committing multi-pitch all-natural routes, whether ice climbing or dry tooling.
Hee Yong's impression of "Nuit Blanche"
I had heard that "Nuit Blanche" was one of Chamonix's ultimate classics. The winter season is usually a short one, making it difficult to climb natural routes. Since I was in France, I did not want to miss the opportunity to test my mettle on these routes. Especially since conditions were right. I had a great time, and felt good on the climb. Chamonix is a truly amazing spot for climbing, with so many routes and such incredible landscapes.
